Outdoor Adventure

Meetings & Camps | Leaders | Badges | Bones | New Uniform | Old Uniform

Challenging hikes, weekend camps, and an introduction to water activities like canoeing or kayaking are just a few of the fun outdoor adventures that Cubs enjoy.

With the Cub motto of "Do Your Best" front and centre, Cubs are encouraged to try new and more challenging activities. Learning important first aid skills, paddling a canoe for the first time, or leading a game at camp will open the door for Cubs to try other adventures they never thought possible.

Cubs also experience an exciting variety of other activities: games and sports, model-building, music, story-telling and play-acting. And like Beavers, Cubs enjoy their adventures with their friends.

2011-2012

Welcome new and returning Cubs! Summer is done but the real fun is about to begin! The Old Wolves (that's what we leaders are called) are gearing up for the new adventure of a new Cub year - are you ready?

Cubs is about fun, Cubs is about exploring, Cubs is about trying new things and challenging ourselves in our adventures and how we care for our world and community. You don't have to do things perfect, just "Do Your Best" and have fun!

All Cubs are strongly encouraged to come to camp. They are once-in-a-lifetime chances you don't want to miss! Our first camp will be the Scout Brigade of Fort George (signup is now closed for this camp)! For winter camp, we will be roaming all over Camp Bel, tobogganing down the hills and sleeping cozy in the large heated cabin. Then another fun day of activities with other North-Waterloo Cub Packs at the Cuboree in May.

But wait, isn't this the 100th Anniversary of Scouting in Elmira? Won't there be something special this year? Wait and see!

Yes, you can join anytime - just contact me (see Contact Us page, or phone listing below) or join us at our regular meetings!

Hope to see you soon,

Akela and All the Old Wolves
