Challenging hikes, weekend camps, and an introduction to water activities like canoeing
or kayaking are just a few of the fun outdoor adventures that Cubs enjoy.
With the Cub motto of "Do Your Best" front and centre, Cubs are encouraged to try new and more challenging activities.
Learning important first aid skills, paddling a canoe for the first time, or leading a game at camp will
open the door for Cubs to try other adventures they never thought possible.
Cubs also experience an exciting variety of other activities: games and sports, model-building, music,
story-telling and play-acting. And like Beavers, Cubs enjoy their adventures with their friends.
Welcome new and returning Cubs! I'm Akela, leader of the Pack and I want to tell you a bit about this coming year. All the Old Wolves (that's what we leaders are called) have been working hard to make this year a great new adventure! We will be exploring all new stuff in our weekly meetings and doing all new camps. Cubs is about fun, Cubs is about exploring, Cubs is about trying new things and challenging ourselves in our adventures and how we care for our world and community. You don't have to do things perfect, just "Do Your Best" and have fun!
All Cubs are strongly encouraged to come to camp. They are once-in-a-lifetime chances you don't want to miss! We start with archery, horseback riding, a climbing tower and more at Circle Square Ranch. For winter camp, we will be roaming all over Camp Everton, tobogganing down the big hills and sleeping cozy in the large heated cabin called Lions Lodge. Link camp is our chance to show Beavers how much fun we have and check out the crazy Scouts sleeping in a snow bank (we get the cabin)! Then another fun day of activities with other North-Waterloo Cub Packs at the Cuboree in May. Finally, to top it all off, CCJ'10 - Cub Jamboree - a week long camp at the end of July that only happens once every three years!
Yes, you can join anytime - just contact me (see Contact Us page, or phone listing below) or join us at our regular meetings!

1st Elmira Cub Pack meets Tuesdays at 7:00PM (Doors open at 6:45) at the John Mahood School (5 First St, Elmira).
