Cub Bones

Bones

Welcome to Bones - The system where Cubs earn points for their Six through badge work and service.

With the Cub motto of "Do Your Best" front and centre, Cubs are encouraged to earn bones by working on activity badges, stars, and awards, by being prepared and a good helper at camp, and by participating in community events. At the end of the year, the Six with the most bones (per Cub) will win a reward!

How to earn Bones
Bones are earned as follows:

# BonesActivity Description
1Uniform Inspection Each Cub earns 1 bone a meeting for being neatly dressed in uniform. Being late for inspection, missing parts of uniforms, or missing badges on your uniform will result in you missing out on your bones!
2Activity Badges Each Cub earns 2 bones for his Six each time he or she earns an activity badge.
3Stars Each Cub earns 3 bones for his Six each time he or she earns a star.
5Award Badges Each Cub earns 5 bones for his Six each time he or she earns an award badge.
4Camps Each Cub earns up to 4 bones for his Six each time he or she attends camp. Bones are earned based on preparedness and on being a good helper.
6Service Each Cub earns 6 bones for his Six each time he or she participates in one of the following Service activities:
  • Apple Day
  • Popcorn Sales
  • Remembrance Day Parade
  • Elmira Maple Syrup Festival
  • Township Cleanup

A Six may loose Bones due to discipline issues and may gain bones as rewards.
